Amazon’s latest 8-episode Reacher spinoff claims the top spot as the world’s leading series.

Prime Video’s adaptation of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series has become a powerhouse in the streaming world. With four seasons under its belt and at least two more on the way, the show has captivated over 200 million viewers, consistently topping Prime Video’s streaming charts. Following the recent finale of season 4, the franchise expanded with a spinoff that has quickly taken the crown from Alan Ritchson’s series.

This new spinoff has become a streaming sensation, so much so that it has already been renewed for a second season.

Since its mid-August launch, season 4 of Reacher has been a dominant force in streaming. However, after the season finale aired on September 16, the spinoff, Neagley, premiered and capitalized on the buzz, giving fans another dose of Reacher. All eight episodes of Neagley were released simultaneously, a strategy that has proven successful for Amazon, as it has now become the platform’s top show in recent weeks, leading the charts in the U.S., U.K., and across Europe.

As a result, Reacher has slipped to the No. 2 position.

Neagley features Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, a private investigator in Chicago and a former protégé of Jack Reacher from the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. While Sten appeared in the first three seasons of Reacher, her standalone series allows her to take center stage. After discovering that a friend from her past has died under suspicious circumstances, she becomes determined to seek justice, embarking on a perilous journey to uncover a dark threat. Although Neagley is inspired by a character from Lee Child’s works, the series does not directly adapt the novels.

The cast also includes Greyston Holt, Matthew Del Negro, Adeline Rudolph, Damon Herriman, and Joel Keller.

Just two weeks after Neagley’s premiere, it was officially announced that a second season is in the works.

“Audiences around the world have embraced Frances Neagley as a force all her own,” stated the head of global television for Amazon MGM Studios. “Maria Sten delivers a commanding, layered performance that drives every episode, and the creative team has crafted a world that is both thrilling and compelling. We are excited to continue this story and explore what’s next for Neagley.”

While no release date for Neagley season 2 has been revealed, fans of the franchise may have to wait until 2028, considering the production timeline of the first season. With Reacher season 5 anticipated in 2027, Neagley season 2 should provide action enthusiasts with something to enjoy until the next installment of Reacher arrives.
