Apple is said to be developing a compact AI wearable similar in size to an AirTag.

Apple is reportedly developing an AI-driven wearable pin equipped with cameras and microphones to capture a user’s environment. This device is said to be about the size of an AirTag, featuring a sleek, flat, circular design crafted from aluminum and glass.

According to sources, the anticipated AI pin will include a standard lens, a wide-angle lens, three microphones, a speaker, and a physical button on one side, along with wireless charging capabilities. Currently, the device is in the early stages of development, with a potential launch as early as 2027.

In addition to this project, Apple is collaborating with Google to enhance Siri’s personalization in the near future. Reports also indicate that Apple plans to evolve its voice assistant into an AI chatbot integrated into the iPhone, iPad, and Mac by September.

While many companies are integrating AI into wearables like smart glasses, watches, and headphones, others are venturing into standalone AI devices, some of which have struggled to gain traction. For instance, Humane recently discontinued its AI Pin due to unmet expectations. Meanwhile, OpenAI and former Apple designer Jony Ive are also working on an AI device, though specifics remain undisclosed.
