Apple is set to unveil its first touchscreen MacBook in just three weeks.
Apple is gearing up to unveil a new MacBook Pro featuring a touchscreen and an updated iPad Mini around October 27th, according to reports. This timing would place the event just two weeks after the previously announced October 13th gathering, which is expected to spotlight smart home innovations.
The late October event is said to include an online video presentation along with an in-person segment for the press, mirroring the format planned for the October 13th event.
During this Mac and iPad showcase, it’s anticipated that Apple will roll out new MacBook Pros that are lighter than the current models, equipped with touchscreen OLED displays and iPhone-like Dynamic Island interfaces. Additionally, there are plans for MacBook Pros that maintain the existing design but will feature the new M6 chip introduced with the latest Mac Mini. The iPad Mini, last updated in 2024, is also set for a refresh, which will reposition the front-facing camera to the landscape side of the device and enhance the speaker system.
