As we gear up for the highly anticipated fifth season, the acclaimed sci-fi series For All Mankind, created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi, has officially been renewed for a sixth and final season.

Set in a world where the “global space race never ended,” For All Mankind first launched alongside Apple TV in 2019.

“From its debut as one of the first Apple Originals, ‘For All Mankind’ has consistently pushed the boundaries of sci-fi storytelling, captivating audiences season after season,” said the head of programming for Apple TV. “As one of our most beloved series, it has repeatedly impressed thanks to the remarkable creativity of Ron, Matt, and Ben, along with our partners at Sony. We’re excited for fans to witness the thrilling conclusion of this journey when the final season premieres next year.”

Season five of For All Mankind is set to drop on Apple TV on March 27, with the season finale airing on May 29. This season will delve into the Mars colony, Happy Valley, which has seen significant growth as more colonists arrive, eager to expand space exploration. However, tensions are rising, with conflicts brewing between the Martian settlers and those back on Earth, threatening to erupt into chaos.

“Exploring the For All Mankind universe over six seasons has been an incredible journey, and we’re excited to wrap up the story as we envisioned,” Wolpert and Nedivi shared in a joint statement. “We take immense pride in what this series has achieved and are thankful to Apple TV and Sony Pictures Television for supporting us in bringing it to its conclusion.”

While the sixth season will mark the end of For All Mankind, the universe will continue with a new prequel titled Star City. This spin-off will offer a glimpse into the Soviet side of the space race, focusing on the engineers, cosmonauts, and intelligence officers striving to be the first to land on the Moon. Star City is set to premiere on May 29.

For All Mankind is celebrated for its intense drama and high-stakes storytelling that keeps viewers engaged. We’ll see how the series delivers on that promise when the fifth season launches on Apple TV on March 27.
