Aqara Fully Embraces Smart Lighting Solutions
Aqara has made a splash at IFA with an impressive array of smart lighting solutions that support both Zigbee and Thread. Among the highlights is the Floor Lamp T1, which ditches the traditional lamp design for a sleek LED pole mounted on a sturdy base. Standing at 4.6 feet, this lamp features RGBIC lighting and 18 individually addressable zones, casting vibrant colors onto nearby walls, much like Govee’s floor lamp.
The brand is also expanding its smart lighting offerings outdoors. Alongside new permanent outdoor lights equipped with individually addressable LEDs, Aqara is introducing RGBIC string lights that can be customized for festive occasions or adjusted to provide warm and cool white lighting for a cozy atmosphere.
Additionally, Aqara is refreshing its LED light strip, maintaining the same 16 million color options as before but now featuring a new chip that allows for multi-zone control with 18 independent zones per 3-meter section. The company is also rolling out a second-generation downlight available in 4- and 6-inch sizes, offering either RGB-CCT (colors plus tunable white) or just RGB options.
All of Aqara’s new lighting products are compatible with Matter-enabled platforms, including Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, and Homey via Thread. Pricing and availability details are still under wraps.
