Arc Raiders Dominates Steam Sales Weekly, Keeping Player Count Steady Since Launch

Arc Raiders has not only claimed the title of the best-selling game on Steam during the holiday season, but it has also maintained its position as a top seller every week since its launch in October.

The game’s success is undeniable. Despite some debate surrounding its AI implementation, players have embraced this shooter, even outshining major titles like Battlefield 6, which was highly anticipated as a revival for the franchise, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which has received mixed reviews but still carries the weight of the Call of Duty name. Aside from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, it’s tough to pinpoint a game that has made a bigger splash in 2025, and the sales figures certainly support that claim.

According to data from SteamDB, Arc Raiders was the top-selling game of the 2025 holiday season, with only Counter-Strike 2 ranking higher in revenue—likely due to a few high-value transactions. However, the story goes even deeper.

Reviewing the SteamDB data from the week of October 28 to November 4, 2025, Arc Raiders has consistently topped the charts for paid games. The only time it fell behind another non-free-to-play title was during Black Friday week when the Steam Deck took the lead, and Counter-Strike 2 is the only game, free or paid, to surpass it.

The player count on Steam reflects this success as well. The lowest recorded player count was 263,615 on December 11, 2025, a figure that many games can only aspire to. On New Year’s Day, the player count surged to 428,579, not far off from its all-time high of 481,966 reached on November 16, 2025.

Aside from the previously mentioned AI concerns, players seem to be enjoying Arc Raiders, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see its reign continue for a while longer. With Resident Evil Requiem likely being the first major release of 2026 that could challenge its dominance, Arc Raiders might just hold onto the top spot for another month or so.

However, players are facing challenges in firefights due to a glitch that hinders their ability to draw their weapons effectively.
