Arc Raiders: Essential Guide to the Digging Up Dirt Quest

Arc Raiders is packed with quests that challenge you to hunt down caches, drops, and various items. One such quest is Celeste’s “Digging Up Dirt,” which involves locating a dead drop that can be a bit tricky to access. This guide will help you navigate to the dead drop located in the Santa Maria Houses, allowing you to complete the Digging Up Dirt quest. You won’t need to extract to get credit for this quest, so feel free to enter the map with a free loadout to minimize the risk of losing your gear if you encounter an ARC or another raider. After all, you don’t want to lose your best equipment just trying to finish a quest.

To find the dead drop for the Digging Up Dirt quest, head to the Santa Maria Houses point of interest in the southern part of Buried City. Fortunately, this area is generally safe during most matches, so as long as you keep a low profile, you should be fine.

The dead drop is located inside the building, but accessing it from the ground floor can be misleading. Instead, approach from the south and look for an open attic window. You can reach this window by using a makeshift bridge that connects to the building. Cross the bridge halfway, then mantle up to the roof. Once you’re on the roof, drop into the attic through the open window. From there, take the zipline down to the next level of the building.

After you land, you’ll find yourself in a large square room with sand covering the ground. The dead drop will be right in the center of this room. Jump down and interact with it to complete the quest.

With Celeste’s quest finished, it’s time to think about extraction. Both the Southern Station and Eastern Station are nearby, so choose the one you’re most comfortable with and make your escape before the timer runs out and spawns a horde of ARC or another raider shows up to complicate things.
