Arc Raiders: Essential Tips for the “Bad Feeling” Quest

Arc Raiders quests can get pretty intricate, often requiring you to traverse multiple maps to achieve various goals. However, “A Bad Feeling” keeps it straightforward: all you need to do is open an Arc Probe or Arc Courier. So, where can you track one down, and what treasures await inside? Let’s break it down for you.

**Where to Find Arc Probes**
You might spot a new Arc Probe descending from the sky—look for something resembling a rocket. Once it lands, it will be standing upright. However, the majority of Arc Probes you’ll encounter are usually tipped over on their sides. Regardless, you can hear them from a distance, thanks to their distinctive beeping sounds that echo every few seconds.

While Arc Probes can spawn randomly across all maps, they tend to be more abundant during the Electromagnetic Storm event. During this event, check the roof of the Testing Annex on the Dam Battlegrounds map, where you can often find 2-3 of them clustered together. This is a fantastic way to rack up points if you’re working on an Open Arc Probes weekly challenge.

Alternatively, keep an eye out for the Prospecting Probes event when selecting a map. This event appears occasionally on every map except Stella Montis, and you can tell it’s active by hovering over the map. When it is, Arc Probes will be scattered generously across the area, making it easy to gather as many as you need.

Inside Arc Probes, you’ll typically find items like Arc Alloy, Arc Circuitry, and Arc Motion Cores—all essential for crafting. So, if you’re focused on building your loadout, cracking open these probes is definitely worthwhile, even if the loot might seem minor otherwise.

**Where to Find Arc Couriers**
Similar to Arc Probes, Arc Couriers are also found in random locations throughout the map and emit a distinct black smoke. They’re generally easier to locate during the Electromagnetic Storm event as well. While their spawn points vary, many players have had success finding Arc Couriers in the Red Lakes area on the eastern side of the Dam Battlegrounds.

Arc Couriers can contain valuable materials crucial for your progression. Specifically, look for Surveyor Vaults and Sentinel Firing Cores inside, as these are necessary for crafting some of your workbenches. Since the only other way to obtain these items is by defeating Surveyors or Sentinels—both of which are scarce on each map—opening Arc Couriers can be a faster alternative to farming those enemies.

In both cases, breaching these containers can sometimes trigger a sudden wave of Arc enemies, like hornets and wasps.
