Arc Raiders’ Second Expedition Window Closes in 23 Days, Players Seek Preparation Guidance

It’s Expedition month in Arc Raiders, and with just over three weeks to go, players are gearing up for a soft reset of their characters. Many are eager to unlock special gear and extra skill points, but there’s a growing sense of impatience as Embark has yet to disclose specific pricing details this time around.

Unlocking an Expedition demands a hefty amount of resources. Players need a variety of materials to build their caravans, which includes hundreds of thousands of coins worth of weapons, shields, provisions, and other essentials. Based on the first Expedition, players will need a total cash and stash value of five million coins to maximize their skill points, earning one point for every million coins.

I mention the first Expedition because Embark hasn’t shared any new pricing information, nor is there confirmation of a rollover from the studio. This lack of clarity has left many fans feeling frustrated, as they find themselves grinding without knowing if their efforts will be sufficient to meet the requirements.

“Kinda cemented my decision to skip doing Expedition. I don’t have that kind of time, nor do I wanna play the same game every night,” one player commented on Reddit. Another added, “Embark, the expedition ends in less than 23 days. Please tell us what we need to do.” The final qualification phase for Expedition runs from February 17 to February 24, creating a tight deadline.

“I just don’t understand why this game has an endless number of community managers when communication simply doesn’t exist,” remarked another player. “Why do I have to keep all these upgraded and juiced weapons, worrying that I will have to use them to get bonuses from the Expedition? The same goes for cash; I spend almost nothing at merchants for the same reason.”

This situation highlights a significant frustration: players are forced to hoard resources without clear guidance, which restricts their gameplay experience in the extraction shooter. This issue is compounded by the limited timeframes of events like Bird City, making it even more challenging to accumulate the necessary funds.

“Doesn’t it seem pretty likely and reasonable that the five million will be the requirement again this Expedition, and then we’ll get a timely announcement for the requirements of the next Expedition?” another Redditor speculated. While this may be a valid assumption, Embark has a communication gap that could use some attention soon.
