“Arc Raiders Surpasses 12 Million Sales and Sets New Active Player Record Just Two Months Post-Launch”

In a time when many in the gaming industry are facing challenges, Arc Raiders has proven that it can still draw in a substantial player base. Analysts report that this multiplayer shooter has already sold over 12 million copies, with daily active players peaking at more than 3 million.

This insight comes from Rhys Elliot, the head of market analysis at Alinea Analytics. Their estimates indicate that across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, Arc Raiders hit the impressive 12 million sales milestone just this past weekend.

Additionally, the active player count reached around 3.2 million on January 4, 2026, across all platforms. These figures are impressive for a new IP in the challenging extraction shooter genre, especially considering the development team includes former Battlefield creators.

So, Arc Raiders surpassed 12 million copies sold over the weekend, according to Alinea’s estimates. The game experienced its highest daily active users ever at 3.2 million. After a period of stabilization in daily sales by early December, a timely 20% discount across all platforms, combined with the holiday season, helped reignite interest.

Elliot noted that it seemed like Arc Raiders might hit a sales plateau in December. Given its late October launch, this would have been a reasonable point for sales to slow down as initial excitement faded and other titles took the spotlight.

However, the holiday discount kept players engaged. “What a ride,” he remarked.

The situation was further bolstered by the release of a significant update, Cold Snap, which added a festive chill and showcased the ongoing evolution of the game. Arc Raiders is rapidly developing.

The developers have confirmed that “aggression-based matchmaking” is now fully implemented, and the roadmap continues to expand. Whatever new content is on the horizon for this human-versus-robots showdown, there will be plenty of players ready to dive in.

In the community, a dedicated Arc Raiders player has become a legend for collecting rubber ducks, amassing an impressive collection of 4,200 with no signs of stopping.
