Asus ROG Flow Z13 Gaming Tablet with 64GB RAM Now Priced at $2,100
Over the past year, most gaming laptops have seen a price hike, but the Asus ROG Flow Z13 gaming laptop/tablet hybrid has surprisingly dropped in price. Currently, Best Buy offers the best deal on the model featuring the AMD Ryzen AI Max Plus 395 “Strix Halo” chipset, a generous 64GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Originally priced at $2,999.99, it’s now available for $2,099.99. While Amazon has a variant with half the RAM for $100 less, the 64GB version is clearly the superior choice.
The Flow Z13 isn’t designed for gamers seeking over 100 frames per second at its 13.4-inch tablet’s 1600p native resolution, but it still packs a punch. In a review, it averaged 50 to 60 frames per second in demanding titles at low to medium settings. It can handle Elden Ring on high settings at around 50 frames per second at native resolution, and games that utilize FSR 3 and frame generation can achieve even higher performance. With the Steam Deck OLED priced just under $1,000, the portable yet powerful Flow Z13 stands out as a strong alternative.
When the original Flow Z13 launched in 2022, it was notable for resembling a Surface tablet while being capable of gaming. The 2025 model not only meets those expectations but also delivers impressive gaming performance. Its “Strix Halo” processor ensures excellent performance and battery life across various tasks. While it may not compete with larger, pricier 16-inch gaming laptops like the Razer Blade 16 or Asus’ Zephyrus G16 in GPU-heavy scenarios, it comes remarkably close given its slim, portable design.
Some other noteworthy deals include:
* Nintendo’s Switch 2 USB-C camera, typically priced at $54.99, is hard to justify due to its mediocre video quality and the limited number of Switch 2 games that utilize it effectively. However, at just $9.99 at GameStop, it becomes a more appealing purchase. While affordable webcams compatible with the Switch 2 have been available since its mid-2025 launch, Nintendo’s model is still attractive for its sleek stand, adjustable design, and physical privacy shutter.
* For those considering building a PC despite the high costs, there’s a solid deal on the “new” AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor. Released in late June for $349, this 10-year-old processor remains one of the best options for a DDR4 / AM4 socket motherboard. Newegg is also offering a free MSI MAG Core 240mm liquid cooler (valued at $70) with the CPU, making it one less component to purchase.
* One of my favorite accessories, the Anker 2-in-1 USB-C cable, is currently priced at $15.99 on Amazon. This cable frequently appears in our deals coverage and has a stable price point, having recently been $19.99. The six-foot braided cable supports up to 140W passthrough when connected to a compatible charger. Its standout feature is the ability to charge two devices simultaneously, intelligently distributing power to meet the demands of each device.
