Attention collectors: Check out the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 amiibo set to launch in 2026!

Another year brings another wave of amiibo excitement, especially for those of us who are passionate about collecting Nintendo Switch 2 accessories.

While there haven’t been any new amiibo announcements since the New Year, many of the NFC figures revealed last year are finally hitting both online and physical stores. You can still pre-order the fantastic Rosalina and Lumas figure for $39.99 at Best Buy, and the latest addition, the charming Diana from Pragmata, is available for pre-order at GameStop for $29.99.

To help you keep your collection in check, I’ve compiled a list of amiibo available for pre-order that are set to launch in 2026. I’ll update this list as new figures are announced, so you can focus on clearing some shelf space instead of worrying about missed pre-orders.

**Pragmata Diana amiibo** | Pre-order for $29.99 at GameStop
**Release date:** April 27, 2026
The adorable Diana amiibo is the latest figure to hit the pre-order scene, showcasing Pragmata’s android companion in all her cuteness. Tapping it on your Joy-Con will unlock a stash of weapons and recovery items when it launches on April 27, just after the game releases on the Switch 2.

**Rosalina and Lumas – Super Mario Galaxy amiibo** | Pre-order for $39.99 at Best Buy
**Release date:** April 2, 2026
The Super Mario Galaxy collection may have come and gone on Switch, but the amiibo are still up for grabs. This Rosalina and Lumas figure won’t be available until April 2, coinciding with the release of the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
**UK:** £24.99 at Nintendo

**Super Mario – Super Mario Galaxy amiibo** | Pre-order for $39.99 at Best Buy
**Release date:** April 2, 2026
Similar to Rosalina, this new amiibo featuring Mario ready to launch via a Warp Star won’t be available until April 2. Luckily, there’s still plenty of time to secure your pre-order before it hits digital shelves.
**UK:** £24.99 at Nintendo

**Meta Knight & Shadow Star – Kirby Air Riders Series** | Pre-order for $49.99 at Best Buy
**Release date:** March 5, 2026
Although Kirby Air Riders launched last November, this intricately designed Meta Knight amiibo with his Shadow Star vehicle won’t be released until March 5. It’s one of the pricier NFC figures, giving you extra time to save up for this addition to your collection.
**UK:** £33.99 at Nintendo

While amiibo aren’t essential for your Nintendo Switch 2 experience, they can definitely enhance it if your budget allows for a few. I’ve been collecting these NFC figures since the 3DS days and have over a hundred in my collection. They not only brighten up my gaming space but also enrich my gameplay. Whenever I dive back into titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, I make sure to have my amiibo handy. Tapping them on the right Joy-Con grants me access to chests filled with extra weapons and resources.

For instance, with the recent Animal Crossing: New Horizons Version 3.0 update, my collection of Zelda and Splatoon amiibo allowed me to invite exclusive villagers to my island and unlock special items. Without those amiibo, I would have missed out on these exciting additions to one of my favorite Switch games. The same goes for all the figures listed above that are still available for pre-order; if you want to unlock extra content and experiences in your games, amiibo are the way to go.
