Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Hits Theaters, Revealing Marvel’s Biggest Secret
You might have been skeptical about the leak of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer, but it’s the real deal – and it confirms a significant return to the MCU.
If you’re planning to catch Avatar: Fire and Ash this week, make sure to arrive early to catch the first teaser for Avengers: Doomsday.
In the trailer, we see Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) dismounting his Triumph motorcycle and heading back to the home he shares with Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell. The twist at the end reveals Steve cradling a baby, hinting that he has even more to protect this time around.
Avengers: Endgame concluded with Steve passing the Captain America shield to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), followed by a nostalgic flashback of Steve and Peggy dancing in the post-WW2 era.
Details on how or why Steve is rejoining the fray in Avengers: Doomsday remain under wraps, but he’s set to join a star-studded cast that features Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, several legacy X-Men actors, familiar faces from the MCU, and the casts of Thunderbolts (also known as The New Avengers) and Fantastic Four.
This comes after Chris Evans consistently denied any involvement in a Marvel Studios project, despite early reports suggesting otherwise.
And that’s not all for the Avengers: Doomsday trailers. There are reportedly three more set to drop during Avatar: Fire and Ash screenings over the next three weeks, with the next teaser expected to spotlight Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. The Russos have also shared a separate teaser featuring a Doomsday Clock on Instagram.
