Beast of Reincarnation to Receive Ongoing Updates, Including Larger Text Size
Game Freak is gearing up to roll out a “series of continuous updates” for players of Beast of Reincarnation, addressing various concerns raised since the game’s launch.
In a recent post on X, Game Freak announced that the first patch is set to arrive within a week. This update will include camera tweaks, larger text size, improved story pacing, and a host of bug fixes. Additionally, it will switch the default graphics setting from cinematic to performance mode.

The update for “increased text size” is particularly anticipated, as many players have noted that the current text is extremely small and nearly impossible to read on a standard TV, even for those with perfect vision. Currently, there’s no option to adjust the text size in-game.
The other updates appear to be a direct response to player feedback, especially from Steam reviews, where Beast of Reincarnation currently holds a “mixed” rating with only 53 percent positive feedback. Many players have criticized the cinematic mode for its poor visuals and performance, suggesting that others disable it. Additionally, numerous reviews highlight camera issues that hinder navigation and visibility during battles with the game’s many large enemies.
The planned changes to “story pacing” are somewhat puzzling. While there are various critiques of the narrative, it’s unclear what specific adjustments Game Freak could implement to enhance it. Their post indicates that these adjustments will be “ongoing,” hinting at potential significant reworks in the future.
Our own review found the game to be a mixed bag, showcasing some impressive highs but also suffering from lackluster voice acting, repetitive boss encounters, and inconsistent technical performance. Here’s hoping these updates help Beast of Reincarnation realize its full potential.
