Beloved Netflix anime set to conclude with its final season this March after seven years.
The highly anticipated second half of the final season of the acclaimed anime *Beastars* from animation studio Orange is just around the corner, set to premiere this March. Orange recently shared on social media that the series is nearing its conclusion, reflecting on the extensive journey it has taken to get here. “Production kicked off in 2017, the series debuted in 2019, and after four cours, with the support of countless creators, artists, and especially the fans, we are finally ready to share Legoshi and his friends’ story to its conclusion,” Orange announced. “This has been our longest challenge. The techniques and expressions we developed here have influenced our other projects, and what we learned from those has been brought back into *Beastars*. Now, at last—streaming worldwide from March 7. Thank you for your continued support.” Based on Paru Itagaki’s celebrated manga, *Beastars* is a coming-of-age drama set in a world divided between anthropomorphic carnivores and herbivores, where instinct and civility are in constant conflict. The narrative follows Legoshi, a gentle gray wolf whose life is turned upside down after a carnivore murders a classmate, sparking fear and prejudice throughout the campus. His burgeoning feelings for Haru, a white rabbit he initially targets in a predatory moment, compel him to confront whether his desires are rooted in love or instinct. In the final season, the story expands beyond Cherryton Academy as Legoshi embarks on his own journey following his confrontation with Riz. Meanwhile, Louis grapples with his legacy and his father, Ogma, while Haru embraces adulthood on her own terms. As Beastar Yahya hunts the ruthless hybrid criminal Melon, Legoshi finds himself drawn into the manhunt due to a buried family secret that connects him directly to the killer. Part 2 begins as the fragile peace in Zebuth City unravels due to Melon’s covert chaos. The tensions between herbivores and carnivores reach a breaking point, placing Haru directly in Melon’s sights. Legoshi delves deeper into the Black Market, while Louis faces new, complicated responsibilities above ground. When they finally reunite, they are both headed toward an inevitable confrontation: taking down Melon. In a world driven by fear and desire, the pressing question remains—what kind of resolution will they discover when it’s all said and done? *Beastars* returns to Netflix for its final season in March.
