Bill Skarsgård Thrilled to Join Hideo Kojima’s Physint Project
It’s been an eventful month for Physint, the highly anticipated successor to Metal Gear Solid from Hideo Kojima. Following a rocky transition that saw the Sony-supported project move to Xbox, new details about this espionage thriller emerged during the Tokyo Game Show 2026. Recently, actor Bill Skarsgård expressed his enthusiasm for the game in a video message.
Skarsgård, famous for his portrayal of the sinister clown Pennywise in the latest adaptations of Stephen King’s It, was announced as part of the Physint cast during the Xbox showcase at TGS. While specifics about the game’s plot and gameplay remain under wraps, Skarsgård shared his confidence in Kojima in a brief video clip released online on September 18.
In the video, Skarsgård stated, “I will be appearing in Physint, a brand-new, original video game created and developed by the great Hideo Kojima. I’m a huge fan of Hideo’s and I have been ever since I was a child, so I’m very excited to embark on this creative journey together with him. He is a true pioneer and an auteur in the video game field, and someone who really blends cinema and video games, so I’m very excited about this.”
Born the same year Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake launched, it’s likely that Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty was his first real encounter with a new installment in the beloved series. Skarsgård was first spotted at Kojima’s studio over a year ago. He joins a talented cast in Physint, which includes Charlee Fraser, Ma Dong-seok, and Minami Hamabe. The game’s tagline is “The Next Cold War Begins.”
