Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 1 Reloaded: Release Date and Key Information
Season 1 Reloaded is set to drop in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone this week, bringing a host of exciting new content. This midseason update features additional weapons to unlock, fresh multiplayer maps, and a crossover with the Fallout TV series.
**Season 1 Reloaded Start Times**
The update goes live on January 8 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all platforms.
**Fallout Crossover**
A crossover with Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout series has been teased, featuring operator skins for characters like Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus. While big IP collaborations often come with in-game events, it remains unclear whether these Fallout skins will be part of an event pass or available as shop bundles. Both franchises are under Microsoft’s umbrella.
**New Weapons**
The update introduces two new weapons: the Hawker HX sniper rifle and the Sturmwolf 45 submachine gun, both unlockable for free. The Hawker HX is a rebranded version of the beloved Ballista sniper rifle from Black Ops 2, known for its bolt-action mechanism and quick handling. The Sturmwolf 45 is a variant of the classic UMP45, described as a full-auto submachine gun that is “highly accurate and user-friendly.”
**Loadout Equipment and Scorestreaks**
Season 1 Reloaded will also bring a variety of loadout items from Black Ops 6, including the Shock Charge, Impact Grenade, Thermal Grenade, and Tactical Insertion field upgrade. Players can expect several scorestreaks from Black Ops 6 as well, such as the Archangel Launcher, Combat Bow, Death Machine, Dreadnought, Grim Reaper, SAM Turret, Strategic Bomber, and War Machine.
**New Multiplayer Maps**
The update adds three new maps to the rotation: Yakei, Meltdown, and Fringe. Yakei is a brand-new small map designed for 6v6 and 2v2 modes, set against the backdrop of a neon-lit Japanese city. Meltdown and Fringe make their return from previous Black Ops titles.
**Zombies Content**
In Zombies, the Zarya Cosmodrome from Ashes of the Damned will become a Survival map. The new Astra Malorum map will also feature a Directed mode, providing players with assistance in completing its main story quest.
**Endgame Updates**
The update will enhance the Endgame campaign mode with two new world events. One confirmed event is the Wraith Wing, which introduces a formidable VTOL Guild aircraft for players to take down. Details about the second event remain under wraps, but it promises to “test players’ skills.”
**Warzone Mysteries**
For Warzone, a mystery is brewing in Season 1 Reloaded, with hints of anomalies appearing at various locations. The specifics are still vague, leaving players wondering if these anomalies will be confined to one map or spread across all three. As with previous midseason updates, expect new events, challenges, bug fixes, and weapon balancing across all modes.
