**Where to find Borderlands 4 Golden Chests**
In Borderlands 4, you’ll discover four Golden Chests scattered across the main safehouses of Kairos: Belton’s Bore, The Launchpad, Carcadia, and The Lockaway. The first chest is accessible early in the game, with the others becoming available as you progress through the campaign.

**What are Shift codes?**
Shift codes are a reward system consisting of 25-character codes that have been part of the Borderlands experience since Borderlands 2. These codes typically reward players with Golden Keys for unlocking special treasure chests, but they can also grant cosmetics for your character. Keep in mind that these codes have expiration dates, usually ranging from 48 hours to a week, and can be found through various online channels.

**How to redeem Shift codes**
To redeem a Shift code, you’ll need to create a Shift account on the Gearbox website, which is a quick process. You can then activate your codes either on the website or through the in-game Social menu. Remember that Shift codes often have expiration dates, so it’s wise to redeem them promptly. You can save the rewards for later if they’re Golden Keys or use them right away to snag some new gear. Just a heads up: the rewards from these chests scale with your current level, so consider waiting to use a Golden Key if you want to maximize your loot potential.
