Capcom to Launch Its First U.S. Pop-Up Shop in Los Angeles Next Week
West Coast gamers are in for a treat with a unique pop-up shop showcasing exclusive video game merchandise typically found only in Japan. Starting Saturday, September 19, Capcom will set up shop at Little Akihabara in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo area. This limited-time store will be open for just one month, closing on October 18.
This Los Angeles pop-up serves as a temporary extension of Capcom’s official retail store located in the PARCO department store in Tokyo’s Shibuya district. It will offer a variety of merchandise, including plushies, charms, shirts, and more, featuring beloved franchises like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, and Mega Man. Here’s a sneak peek at some exclusive items available at the L.A. pop-up starting next week.
If you plan to visit Little Tokyo on opening day, you’ll have the chance to try out playable demos of Mega Man: Dual Override on September 19 and 20. Be prepared for a line if you’re eager to dive into the Blue Bomber’s latest adventure. Capcom has indicated that “participation will be extremely limited throughout opening weekend.” The first 50 visitors on September 19 and 20 will receive a limited-edition Tokyo Game Show handkerchief featuring popular Capcom titles.
In other news, the Tokyo Game Show, Asia’s largest gaming event, will take place from September 17 to 21 this year, celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special five-day run. Leading up to the event, the Capcom Spotlight TGS 2026 will occur on September 16 at 10 a.m. ET, where fans can expect updates on several games, including Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance DLC, Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Mega Man: Dual Override, Pragmata, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Street Fighter 6. While it’s disappointing that Ace Attorney 7 isn’t on the list, we remain hopeful for surprises, especially with the series celebrating its 25th anniversary next month.
Additionally, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Devil May Cry 5, and an expanded Dragon’s Dogma 2 are all set to launch on Nintendo’s console this year.
