Charlie Cox Confirms He’s Recorded 40 Hours of Dialogue for a Secret Sega Project

With New York Comic Con 2026 in full swing, several well-known actors, particularly those involved in Marvel projects due to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, are making appearances at red carpet events and panels over the next few days. Among them is Charlie Cox, who is generating buzz with the new Daredevil series on the horizon. What caught many off guard was his hint about a mystery Sega game for which he has already recorded a significant amount of dialogue.

Earlier this year, Cox mentioned his involvement in more gaming projects following his success in last year’s award-winning RPG. During an interview at NYCC, he confirmed that he has been working on a new, unannounced role for an upcoming Sega title. This role seems to be substantial, requiring the Daredevil actor to adopt an American accent with little preparation.

“I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was, and I showed up for the first day, and I was like, ‘Hi guys, nice to meet you! How are you?’” he recounted. “And all of them went, ‘…oh, he’s English.’ They’d wanted him to be American. But now I’ve got to do 40 hours of lines I’ve not prepared in an accent.”

With these limited details, fans on social media have already started speculating. The most likely candidate for Cox’s involvement is Persona 6. Given the extensive dialogue recording and the game’s recent official hints over the summer, many fans are hoping he will play a role in the latest installment of Atlus’ beloved JRPG series. However, it’s also possible that the game hasn’t even been announced yet, especially since Cox mentioned that the project “doesn’t have a name yet.”

Having earned accolades for his debut gaming role as Gustave in Expedition 33, it’s exciting to see Cox returning for another major gaming project in the near future. Whatever that may be.
