During its recent State of Play event, Sony unveiled a fresh look at Marvel’s Wolverine, the highly anticipated title from Insomniac Games set to launch exclusively on PS5 on September 15th. Clad in his classic yellow outfit, Logan stealthily navigated through enemies, using his claws to dispatch foes with brutal efficiency. The combat appeared impactful and engaging, though it was notably gory, with blood splattering as Logan battled his adversaries.

Wolverine has been in the works for quite some time, with its initial announcement by Sony and Insomniac back in 2021. At that point, information was limited. However, gameplay footage was finally revealed in a subsequent State of Play in September 2025, along with the official release date announced in February.

Insomniac has a strong track record with Marvel titles, having developed the acclaimed Spider-Man game that debuted on PS4 in 2018, followed by the spinoff Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the full sequel, Spider-Man 2, featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
