Check out the first trailer for the animated Stranger Things spin-off, Tales from ’85, ready to satisfy your Upside Down cravings!
Just a month after the finale of Stranger Things, the first trailer for Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 has dropped, pulling us back into the eerie world of the Upside Down.
In this short clip, everything seems fine for Mike, Eleven, and the gang—until a chilling surprise from the Upside Down crashes their winter fun. Instead of facing off against familiar foes like Demogorgons or Demodogs, they encounter a new kind of monster, complete with a pumpkin for a head. This animated series is set between seasons 2 and 3, aiming to fill in some narrative gaps and hopefully address lingering questions left by the finale. According to the tagline, this “epic new animated series” features the original characters battling fresh monsters and delving into a paranormal mystery.
Eric Robles, known for creating the animated series Fanboy and Chum-Chum, is at the helm as showrunner. The voice cast includes Brett Gipson as Hopper, Luca Diaz as Mike, Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Elisha Williams as Lucas, Ben Plessala as Will, and Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max. Additionally, Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips will voice undisclosed characters. A new character named Nikki Baxter will also join Mike and the crew on their spine-chilling adventure.
Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 is set to premiere on Netflix on April 23. All episodes of Stranger Things are currently available for streaming.
