Check out the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer featuring exciting cameos and a major mystery!

The first official trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has dropped, giving us a sneak peek into the next chapter of Tom Holland’s web-slinging adventures. This highly anticipated trailer is packed with a host of cameos, featuring a lineup of lesser-known Spider-Man villains, Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as the Hulk, and Jon Bernthal returning as the Punisher.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is brimming with familiar faces from the Marvel universe, including the much-anticipated comeback of Michael Mando as Scorpion/Mac Gargan, who last appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Marvin Jones III, also known as Krondon, stepping in as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone. The notorious ninja clan, the Hand, also makes an appearance, showcasing that Holland and the crew are delivering exactly what fans crave.

The film will explore the MCU’s take on the classic “Man-Spider” storyline from Marvel Comics and Spider-Man: The Animated Series, where Peter Parker’s DNA undergoes another radical change due to the radioactive spider bite.

At its core, the narrative delves into Peter Parker’s struggle with the aftermath of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Dr. Strange’s spell erased the world’s memory of Peter as Spider-Man. Even his close friends Ned and MJ are left in the dark, as highlighted by the emotional letter Peter narrates throughout the trailer. If history is any guide, Peter Parker’s journey is unlikely to lead to a happy ending.

One mystery the trailer leaves unsolved is the role of Sadie Sink from Stranger Things, though there are subtle hints about her abilities scattered throughout.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the film is based on a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who have written the previous three Spider-Man films. Alongside Holland, Zendaya, and Batalon, newcomers Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Mark your calendars, as Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31.
