Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Actor Reacts to BAFTA Nomination with a Surprising Exclamation

Four actors from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have snagged nominations for best supporting performer at the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards, and one of them seems a bit daunted by the competition.

In a tweet, Monoco actor Rich Keeble shared the nominees for the supporting actor category. While Keeble certainly earned his place, he’s up against some heavyweights like Andy Serkis (Renoir), Charlie Cox (Gustave), and Kirsty Rider (Lune). Other nominees not linked to Expedition 33 include Amelia Tyler (Hecate in Hades 2), Jeffrey Wright (Chase in Dispatch), and Troy Baker (Higgs in Death Stranding 2).

“Fuck,” Keeble reacted to the nominees list, likely expressing a mix of humility and respect for his fellow nominees.

Unsurprisingly, Expedition 33 is a dominant presence in the BAFTA Games Award nominations, with two actors nominated for best leading performer and the game itself recognized in an impressive 13 categories.

It’s tough to stay humble when you’re an indie developer whose debut title is the clear frontrunner for Game of the Year 2025. Expedition 33 swept the Golden Joysticks this year, taking home seven awards, including Ultimate Game of the Year, and many are anticipating a similar success at The Game Awards this week.

Ben Starr, the actor for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Verso, noted that the RPG has an “unapologetic vision,” which contributes to its unexpected success: “There’s nothing cynical about it.”
