Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Unveils $429 Replica of Gustave’s Arm as Its Wildest Merchandise
Video games and their characters often inspire a wide range of collectible merchandise. Imagine rocking out to a mini Pokémon jukebox or admiring a stunning Snorlax rug that you might never own. Then there’s Nintendo’s “jump scare box” Talking Flower, which is best left unbothered. For fans of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, there’s an exciting opportunity to check out a life-sized replica of Gustave’s (RIP) prosthetic arm.
In celebration of the one-year anniversary of Expedition 33, developer Sandfall Interactive has partnered with a collectibles company to create a limited-edition replica of Gustave’s arm. This impressive piece measures 19 inches in length and is crafted from premium polyresin, featuring a marbled finish and gold accents. It also comes with a sculpted rock base adorned with red flowers.
For the price of $429, you can add the Gustave arm to your collection. Picture it displayed prominently on your bookshelf, sparking curiosity among guests who might wonder, “Why do you have a robot arm up there?” It’s a fantastic conversation starter. Alternatively, you could keep it on your desk, using Gustave’s semi-closed hand as a quirky cup holder. Or, for a bit of fun, carry it around with the hand sticking out of your backpack and enjoy the puzzled looks from passersby. The choice is yours!
You’ll have plenty of time to figure out how to showcase your Gustave arm, as it won’t ship until the third quarter of 2027.
In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Gustave serves as the main character. He invents the Lumina Converter, a device designed to help the expeditioners power up for their showdown with the Paintress. Unfortunately, Gustave meets his end at the conclusion of Act One, losing his arm in a battle against Renoir. Later in the game, Maelle uses the arm to create a memorial for him. And now, that arm can be yours. In 2027. For $429.
Expedition 33 has already made waves with its cool merchandise offerings. The soundtrack was released on vinyl, and the records are as visually appealing as they are sonically impressive. An art book is set to launch later this year, and stunning Expedition 33 artwork will feature on the cover of the next edition of a gaming journal.
