Claude Cowork by Anthropic Now Available on Mobile and Web

Starting Tuesday, the Claude Cowork AI platform will make its debut on mobile and web, marking a significant expansion in accessibility. Initially, this rollout is available to Max subscribers, with plans to extend to other Claude users in the coming weeks.

Previously, Claude Cowork was limited to the desktop app for macOS and Windows, but now it’s accessible on iOS and Android devices as well. However, Anthropic notes that the “full experience” will still be found on the desktop app, which includes features like local file access.

Cowork sessions will now default to running in the cloud, allowing you to seamlessly continue your work across different devices or execute tasks in the background even when your laptop is shut down. Users can still opt for local processing on the desktop app, with the ability to switch between cloud and local modes. Moreover, scheduled tasks will execute even if none of your devices are online. Claude can also send notifications to your phone when there’s something ready for your review or approval.

In conjunction with the mobile and web launch, Anthropic is extending its doubled Cowork usage limits through August 5th.
