Comcast Xfinity Introduces Same-Day Delivery for Instant Internet Access

Comcast is rolling out a same-day Xfinity Wi-Fi service that eliminates the wait for your new router. Starting today, new Xfinity customers in nearly 20 markets—including cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Nashville, Philadelphia, and San Francisco—can receive their Xfinity Gateway equipment on the same day they place their order.

Eligible customers can choose same-day Gateway router delivery during the checkout process after signing up for Xfinity internet. The equipment will be delivered to their doorstep “within hours.” Once it arrives, customers can easily set up the devices themselves using the Xfinity app, allowing them to get online almost immediately instead of enduring several days without internet access.

“In a world where almost everything is instant, home internet shouldn’t be an exception,” stated Eric Jagher, head of connectivity at Comcast’s Xfinity. “With Xfinity’s same-day Wi-Fi, we’re providing customers access to the nation’s fastest, most reliable connectivity right when they need it.”

Comcast claims to be the “first wired major internet provider” to offer same-day Wi-Fi connectivity and aims to expand this rapid delivery service to all areas where Xfinity is available by early next year. For those who aren’t eligible for same-day delivery, there’s also the option to pick up their Gateway at one of 700 Xfinity stores across the US on the same day they sign up.
