Confirmed Characters from The Duskbloods So Far

The Duskbloods is charting new territory for FromSoftware, marking the studio’s first original title designed specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2. This game takes a unique approach as a multiplayer-only experience, drawing inspiration from the combat mechanics of Bloodborne and Dark Souls. Unlike titles such as Elden Ring, players will select from a roster of prebuilt characters known as Bloodsworn, each equipped with distinct weapons, superpowers, and passive abilities. As players progress, they can further customize these characters by unlocking additional content.

In the upcoming network test for The Duskbloods, players will have the chance to try out six different Bloodsworn. These characters range from versatile fighters like Albert, who wields a saber, to the eccentric Zork, who zooms around the map in a jetpack-powered diving suit.

FromSoftware has hinted that there will be at least a dozen playable characters in The Duskbloods. Here’s a closer look at the characters revealed so far.

Albert serves as the tutorial character, making him the most accessible Bloodsworn for newcomers. He’s a balanced fighter with a straightforward kit that includes a sword and a submachine gun, perfect for taking on groups of enemies.

Lorrik wields a Jeweled Saber and SMG, both adorned with ebony jewels. The saber is used for melee attacks, while the submachine gun provides ranged options.

Players will also encounter Bloodhound Jan during the tutorial, but as an adversary. Jan swings a heavy axe for powerful melee strikes and can unleash a column of flames using the jewel embedded in his left hand.

Trang Lanh is a swift and elegant rogue/thief character, reminiscent of the Nightreign’s Duchess from Elden Ring. She can turn invisible and summon a giant snake to aid her in battle.

The mummified Sniper Layla combines dual blades with a long-range rifle, making her versatile in both close and ranged combat. She can even summon a Gatling gun from her chest.

Senator Samir Patres fights with a straight sword and a magical ring that calls forth a spectral bird to attack enemies. He also has the ability to transform into a small dinosaur to chomp down on foes.

For players who enjoy a heavier, Dark Souls-style character, Zork is the perfect fit. He delivers powerful swings and has a diving suit packed with technology, including a jetpack for high-speed maneuvers and a cannon that fires missiles. While he may be the most challenging character to master, he also has the potential to be the most formidable.

FromSoftware has confirmed that at least 12 Bloodsworn will be available in The Duskbloods, with three of these characters having appeared in previous trailers but not in the network test version. Excitement is building as players await more news!
