Crimson Desert Introduces Cross-Save Feature
Crimson Desert fans have something to celebrate! Developer Pearl Abyss is finally rolling out one of the most anticipated features for the role-playing game, just shy of four months after its launch earlier this year. Cross-saves are now live.
The 1.14.00 patch dropped on July 16, bringing the cross-save functionality to all platforms except macOS, which will receive the update later. To utilize this feature, players need to select the new cross-save option in the save menu, which will guide them on how to access the cross-save page. From there, players must log in to their platform account and link it to a Pearl Abyss ID. If you don’t have one, you can easily create it. Once linked, players can return to the game, hit the refresh option in the cross-save settings, and choose a cross-save slot at the bottom right of the save menu to save their data. Congratulations! You can now enjoy a single Crimson Desert save file across all platforms.
However, there are some limitations to keep in mind. You can only link one account per platform (Epic Games, PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox) to a single Pearl Abyss ID. Additionally, only one cross-save slot is available per ID, and it must be saved manually. While you can unlink and re-link platform accounts as needed, unlinking all accounts from a Pearl Abyss ID will permanently erase any cross-save data stored in the cloud. If you plan to unlink all platforms but want to keep your cross-save, be sure to save it in a local slot first.
While the cross-save feature is the highlight of patch 1.14.00, it’s not the only update Crimson Desert has received. The game’s quirky controls still need some work, but here’s a complete list of improvements from the patch notes.
Crimson Desert is now available on Mac, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
