Crunchyroll Launches Anime Version of Spotify Wrapped, Featuring a “Spirit Companion”
If you’re a Crunchyroll subscriber, you can now reflect on your anime journey in 2025, similar to Spotify Wrapped, and share your results on social media to showcase your anime fandom. This feature also introduces a “spirit companion” to accompany your stats.
Crunchyroll Arc delivers a tailored experience based on the anime you’ve enjoyed over the past year. You can discover your most-watched series, total streaming hours, longest viewing streak, and how your viewing habits compare to other users on the platform.
To access your Crunchyroll Arc, ensure you have the latest version of the app on your mobile device, are a premium subscriber as of December 1, and meet certain content engagement criteria—if you haven’t been watching much, it won’t work as intended.
Along with your results, you’ll receive a “spirit companion,” which could be a “Sage Puff,” “Wandering Neko,” “Bonehead Brawler,” and more. You’ll have until January 5 to check out your 2025 Arc, so don’t delay.
When you dive into your rankings, expect to see some of the year’s most popular titles, including the conclusion of My Hero Academia season 8, the record-breaking Solo Leveling season 2, and Dan Da Dan season 2.
While not yet available on Crunchyroll, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2025, becoming the highest-grossing anime film ever and outperforming major Hollywood releases like Superman and Fantastic Four: First Steps.
There’s no doubt that 2025 has been a monumental year for anime, with no signs of slowing down. January 2026 will kick off with the arrival of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 and the second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, setting the stage for an exciting new year.
