Cyberpunk 2077 for Nintendo Switch 2 Now Available at a Discount
The physical edition of one of the top third-party titles for the Nintendo Switch 2 is now available at a discounted price for the first time. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which debuted alongside the Switch 2 last June, is currently priced at $60, down from $70. Unlike many other third-party games on the Switch 2, this edition includes the full 60.6GB of game data on the cartridge, meaning it won’t take up a hefty 25% of your storage like the digital version does.
It’s worth mentioning that the digital edition was recently on sale for $40 during the eShop Holiday Sale, and some savvy Switch 2 users snagged it for just $17.49 due to a pricing error that was honored. However, the digital price has since returned to $70.
Cyberpunk 2077 had a rocky launch in 2020, but the developers have worked hard to enhance the experience over the years. The 2.0 update, released just before the Phantom Liberty expansion, transformed the game from merely good to exceptional. The expansion itself, lasting around 20 hours, is considered one of the best narrative additions in the game. Overall, players can expect about 40-50 hours of main quests, and with side content, you can easily exceed 100 hours in Night City. Plus, replaying the story with different archetypes and life paths offers a fresh experience, as each choice significantly alters gameplay and NPC interactions.
For those looking for more deals on Nintendo Switch 2 games, there are plenty of discounts on both third-party and first-party titles at various retailers. Another standout port is Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition, now available for just $30 (down from $60), which includes two story expansions and extra in-game content. Unlike Cyberpunk 2077, this title is a Game-Key Card, so you’ll need to download the game file after inserting the cartridge for the first time.
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which launched in December for $60, is also on sale for the first time. Other notable discounts include Atlus JRPGs like Persona 3 Reload for $40 (was $60) and Raidou Remastered for $30 (was $50), along with several first-party Nintendo games that come with a free Switch 2 upgrade. For instance, Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 is priced at $59 (was $70).
