Data Breach in Trump Mobile Could Affect Over 3,600 Users
Trump Mobile seems to have experienced a data breach that may have compromised the information of 3,615 users. Reports indicate that the exposed data includes names, home addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and order details.
Several individuals from the affected dataset confirmed the accuracy of the leaked information. Interestingly, some of the data may belong to people who never fully registered for Trump Mobile; one individual mentioned that they had only provided their email and phone number without completing the account setup. Additionally, the breach reportedly includes details related to Eric Brunnett, the chief information technology officer at The Trump Organization.
A hacking group known as BYOD has claimed responsibility for the breach. A member of the group stated that they infiltrated the phone service by deploying a remote access trojan on an employee of Liberty Mobile, the carrier that supports Trump Mobile’s network. The group also asserts that they have gained access to the backend of Trump Mobile’s website.
