D&D Action Game Unveils Exciting New Abilities
During Gamescom Opening Night Live, we were treated to an exciting first look at gameplay for Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, an upcoming single-player action RPG slated for release in 2027.
The nearly 10-minute gameplay demo showcases the protagonist, Kaatri, as she battles a variety of D&D foes using a mix of powerful dark magic and melee skills.
Here’s the official description of Warlock:
Step into the shoes of Kaatri, a seasoned warrior who forges a perilous pact with Tasha in her quest to locate a lost loved one. Harness forbidden magic, spells, rituals, and otherworldly weapons to carve paths, gain advantages, uncover secrets, and creatively vanquish monsters. Journey beyond the Mists of Darkon, where danger, opportunity, and hidden power lurk at every turn.
The gameplay clip highlights Kaatri’s impressive abilities, allowing her to manipulate the environment, unleash lightning bolts on her enemies, and more. It’s truly remarkable.
Warlock is being crafted by Invoke Studios, featuring Tricia Helfer as Kaatri, a formidable warlock whose magical prowess stems from Tasha, portrayed by Maggie Robertson, who serves as Kaatri’s patron and source of power. Robertson gained significant popularity for her role as the towering Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village.
Warlock is set to launch on consoles and PC in 2027.
