Dimension 20 is back with a darkly twisted take on Toy Story.

The Intrepid Heroes are making a comeback, but this time they’re in toy form. A new trailer has dropped for the upcoming season of Dimension 20, titled Toylight, set to launch next month.

In Dimension 20: Toylight, the beloved cast—Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson—take on the roles of toys battling against the magical Toylight, described as “the last flicker of a dying child’s imagination.” The trailer showcases each character, including Wilson’s axe-wielding Lion in a leotard named Wyon, Axford’s muscular baby Cutie Pie, and Oyama’s toy soldier Tinsley.

The set design and game board are among the most vibrant and imaginative in Dimension 20’s history, transforming classic children’s toys and wooden blocks into a dynamic battlefield. Many miniatures are armed with spears, including thimbles controlled by Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan, who humorously has one thimble declare, “I’m gonna put my drumstick up their asses!”

Dimension 20: Toylight was hinted at last month with a teaser titled “Playtime Is Over.” One YouTube commenter aptly described it as “Toy Story but Dunkirk,” capturing the unique blend of whimsy and intensity.

Following Gladlands and City Council of Darkness, Toylight will be the third Dimension 20 season to debut in 2026. Like Gladlands, it will consist of a brief campaign with just six episodes. The premiere is set for September 16, with new episodes rolling out every Wednesday.

2026 has been a significant year for the comedy streaming platform, which has introduced original and licensed animation, successfully funded a Game Changer at-home game through Kickstarter, launched a quirky puppet show, and released its flagship series Game Changer on disc. As Dropout CEO Sam Reich noted, “We have to experiment and be comfortable with a bit of failure in order to innovate,” reflecting the platform’s commitment to creative exploration.
