Disney Pixar’s Luxo Jr. Lego Set Now Available on Amazon for the First Time

Pixar enthusiasts can snag a 10% discount on Lego’s 613-piece Luxo Jr. and Pixar Ball set. Priced at $70, the Lego Ideas: Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. is now available for $63. This charming recreation of the beloved Pixar mascot debuted last June and has mostly maintained its original price. This current offer represents the best deal we’ve seen, though it isn’t officially labeled as a sale. Recently, Luxo Jr.’s price on Amazon has fluctuated multiple times a day, so it’s possible the price could change again by the time you check it out.

Lego Ideas: Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. (21357) features the character that starred in Pixar’s first short film back in 1986, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short. Many fans first encountered Luxo Jr. when it bounced across the screen to complete the Pixar logo at the start of Toy Story in 1995. Initially, the short film was only shown at film festivals and conventions, but it later made its way to theaters worldwide before Toy Story 2 in 1999.

This building set is part of the Lego Ideas collection, with the original concept pitched by a fan in 2022 and officially approved by Lego in November 2024. As is typical, the retail version differs slightly from the concept images, but the hinges on Luxo Jr.’s arm remain quite similar.

On January 1, Lego also released a variety of new Disney building sets, including the highly sought-after Speed Champions Lightning McQueen race car, which has been tough to find. As of now, the 270-piece set is available at Target and Walmart for $28. Fans of Pixar’s Cars franchise can also order it from the Lego Store, but new orders are expected to ship in about 60 days.

For those who love Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean series, Lego’s impressive 2,862-piece model of Captain Jack Sparrow’s Ship is currently available on Amazon for $380. This detailed set, which originally launched as a Lego Store exclusive last September, can now be found at major retailers. The model measures 25 x 9 x 25 inches and includes nine Lego minifigures.
