Double Fine Revives Game Jam as a Kickstarter, Allowing Fans to Vote on Upcoming Project

Double Fine, the studio behind Psychonauts, has recently transitioned away from Xbox ownership following significant changes at the parent company. In exciting news, they are reviving their cherished game jam, Amnesia Fortnight, through a Kickstarter campaign that allows fans to vote on the next project.

This announcement was made today on the Kinda Funny podcast by CEO Tim Schafer, along with the launch of a new Kickstarter page. The event is set for August 31 and will feature a live Game Jam where backers can influence which of the studio’s concepts will be developed into four new prototypes, and ultimately, which one will become a full game. Additionally, the game jam will be documented by 2 Player Productions.
