The highly anticipated Chapter 3 update for Dune: Awakening has finally dropped, inviting players to tackle new content, including five challenging testing stations. Surprisingly, some players are taking on these challenges completely unarmed… and unclothed?
Yes, you read that right. These testing stations, akin to dungeons in this survival MMO, are tough, but that hasn’t stopped dedicated fans from attempting them without any gear. One player, known as “LordPizzaSteve” on Reddit, bravely faced Imperial Testing Station No. 152 in nothing but his boxers, armed only with a shotgun—and he emerged victorious.
In a post, Steve shared, “For anyone struggling with this dungeon, it is 100% doable without the right gear/abilities (or even clothes). Just spend some time learning the lightning pattern!” He even included a video showcasing his impressive skills as he dodged the boss, Planetologist Takulki, while avoiding every lightning strike.
But Steve’s adventures don’t stop there. He’s continuing his gearless dungeon crawl, recently posting about his experience in Imperial Testing Station No. 136. “Continuing the ‘Naked Only’ dungeon series,” he wrote. “For anyone struggling with this dungeon, it is 100% doable… Just practice dodging… and you’ll be Gucci!”
Once again, he shared a video, this time using a triple-shot rifle, effortlessly evading fiery projectiles without taking any damage. Honestly, he’s performing better in his skivvies than many do in full gear. Here’s hoping he tackles the remaining three new testing stations in the same fashion—I’m definitely cheering him on.
The developers of Dune: Awakening acknowledge that they don’t expect to maintain the peak player count after Steam saw a surge to 189,000, but they’re optimistic: “We do hope to get players returning.”
