Elon Musk’s plan for a SpaceX stock giveaway targets ‘Trump Accounts’

President Donald Trump announced today that children will receive shares of Elon Musk’s SpaceX through Trump Accounts. Earlier, Musk revealed his plan to distribute one of his SpaceX shares to “every kid in America” next year. He expressed gratitude to Trump Account supporter Brad Gerstner for his role in making this happen, and Trump confirmed the initiative in a post on Truth Social.

Based on Friday’s stock value, 72 million shares of SpaceX would amount to around $10.5 billion. “This will be the first of many,” Musk stated.

Notable figures such as Michael and Susan Dell, Ray and Barbara Dalio, Gerstner, and SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell have also pledged to contribute to Trump Accounts. In October, the White House reported that after automatically enrolling about 60 million children, over 70 million accounts had been established.
