Enjoy a Weekend of Free Gaming with 7 Xbox Titles
Xbox players have a great selection of free games to dive into this weekend, featuring a significant update for one of the year’s standout multiplayer titles and trials for several other exciting games. Whether you’re in the mood for an extraction shooter, a quirky sci-fi journey, or an adventure in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, there’s plenty to explore before the weekend wraps up.
The latest Xbox Free Play Days event runs until Sunday, Oct. 11, offering seven games to try out. While two of these require an Xbox Game Pass subscription, five are accessible to all Xbox players, including ARC Raiders, High On Life 2, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
The highlight of the weekend is likely ARC Raiders, Embark Studios’ multiplayer extraction shooter, which is available for free on Xbox until Oct. 11. Players can team up to scavenge a perilous, machine-ridden world, gathering supplies while fending off hostile robots and rival raiders.
This free weekend also aligns with the launch of Frozen Trail, the game’s most significant update since its release. This update introduces a new map, fresh enemies, challenges, weapon modifications, and more, providing newcomers with plenty to discover. If players want to continue their adventure after the trial, they can purchase the game at a 50% discount until Oct. 15.
Another exciting option is High On Life 2, the sequel to Squanch Games’ offbeat first-person shooter. Players return to a vibrant intergalactic setting filled with talking alien weapons, battling foes with a mix of shooting, stabbing, and skating.
For those seeking a darker experience, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl invites players to navigate a treacherous open world inspired by the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Mutants, rival scavengers, and deadly anomalies stand between players and the resources they need to survive. The game recently received a major Update 2.0, enhancing performance and introducing features designed to deepen immersion.
The remaining titles in the promotion offer a blend of horror, racing, and tactical strategy. Little Nightmares III presents a chilling puzzle-adventure filled with nightmarish creatures, while Rogue Waters is a turn-based pirate roguelite that features ship combat and a recruitable crew.
Here’s the complete lineup:
The promotion lasts until Sunday, Oct. 11, though the duration of trials and membership requirements vary by game. Players can find these titles in the Free Play Days section of the Xbox Store.
