Epic Games Hints at a Wild Fortnite Crossover with The Office

Bears. Beets. Battle Royale. This might not have been on your 2026 bingo card, but Epic Games has hinted at a quirky new collaboration for Fortnite: The Office is making its way into the game. Yes, that iconic The Office.

While specifics about this crossover are still under wraps, the potential for a Dwight Schrute skin or a stapler-in-Jell-O back bling could elevate this collaboration beyond any previous video game adaptations of the series. Just don’t expect the entire Fortnite island to transform into Scranton, Pennsylvania.

So far, all we have is a teaser from the official Fortnite account, which shared a photo of beets alongside the phrase “Build. Beets. Battle Royale.” This nods to a classic moment from season 3, episode “Product Recall,” where Jim Halpert impersonates Dwight and throws him off with the line “Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.”

The Office aired on NBC for nine seasons from 2005 to 2013. Based on the original BBC series, it’s a mockumentary that captures the daily grind of Dunder Mifflin’s employees. Its popularity remains strong, bolstered by international remakes, endless binge-watching on platforms like Netflix and Peacock, and the recent spinoff, The Paper.

While a collaboration with The Office might seem unusual, Epic Games is known for embracing a diverse array of properties in Fortnite. From Segway scooter emotes to a full Battle Pass featuring The Simpsons, and skins of celebrities like Kim Kardashian and WWE superstars, Fortnite consistently caters to various fandoms. Universal Television has also explored some unexpected pairings with The Office, including a Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair last year. Instead of questioning how this collaboration came about, it’s time to speculate on who might join in the inevitable second wave of skins.

And now that sitcoms are on the table for Fortnite, I have a fantastic idea for a TGIF Battle Pass. Epic, let’s chat!
