ESPN’s Streaming Services Set for Price Hike

ESPN is set to increase its subscription prices starting September 17th, which will also affect its bundles with Disney Plus. According to a support page noted earlier, the ad-supported Select membership will now cost $13.99 per month, up from $12.99, while the Unlimited plan will rise to $31.99 from $29.99 per month.

The annual ESPN Select plan will see a jump to $139.99 from $129.99, and the annual Unlimited tier will increase to $319.99 from $299.99. Additionally, Disney Plus bundles that include ESPN Select will also see price hikes. Here’s a breakdown of the new pricing:

* Disney Plus (with ads), Hulu (with ads), and ESPN Select: $21.99 per month, up from $19.99.
* Disney Plus (ad-free), Hulu (ad-free), ESPN Select: $32.99 per month, up from $29.99.
* Legacy Disney Plus (ad-free), Hulu (ad-free), and ESPN Select: $27.99 per month, up from $24.99.

Bundles with ESPN Unlimited will remain unchanged. Recent reports indicate that around 80 percent of Unlimited subscribers signed up through the Disney Plus and Hulu bundle. This marks the first price increase for ESPN since it launched its standalone streaming service last August, which included updates to its mobile app featuring a TikTok-style video feed and a personalized SportsCenter experience, along with multiview capabilities on major smart TV platforms.
