Exciting Four-Minute Clip of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Surfaces Online

Four minutes of footage from next year’s *Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse* has surfaced online, and it looks pretty impressive. The clip features an extended scene that likely serves as the film’s opening, followed by a montage reminiscent of a trailer, and wraps up with the release date set for June 18, 2027. It feels like a presentation meant for a convention, probably CinemaCon, and now the studio is scrambling to get it taken down. However, considering how enticing the footage is, it might be smarter for them to just release an official version.

The previous installment, *Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse*, ended on a cliffhanger that left many fans frustrated. It felt abrupt, especially with a four-year wait ahead for the continuation of the story. Now, with less than a year until the next film, it seems like the studio should start generating some excitement and remind audiences of where the story left off, even if this leak wasn’t part of their plan.

For those who might have forgotten the ending (spoilers for *Across the Spider-Verse* ahead): Miles Morales, eager to save his father, escapes the multiverse-protecting Spider Society and attempts to use its portal machine to return to Earth-1610. Instead, he ends up in Earth-42, a dark reality devoid of Spider-Man, where an alternate version of himself has become the Prowler. This world’s Uncle Aaron captures Miles, leaving Gwen Stacy to team up with the main Spider-Men for a rescue mission. To be continued.

The new clip picks up right where the last film left off, featuring a confrontation between alt-Aaron and Prowler-Miles with our hero, filled with witty banter and the stunning animation fans have come to love. Following that are a series of beautifully animated, albeit somewhat generic, fight scenes, a few quieter moments, and the familiar Spider-Men assembling to save their friend. While there are no major spoilers or surprises, the clip serves as a great reminder of why this franchise is so beloved and respected, and it definitely has me excited for the movie.

We haven’t included a clip here, not out of concern for you or the footage, but because it’s being taken down almost as quickly as it’s uploaded, even on social media. However, if you’re eager to see it, it’s not hard to find.

Early leaks can often be a mixed bag, especially when they consist of shaky phone recordings of a laptop screen with background noise. You can see why studios want to eliminate that kind of low-quality footage. But the *Beyond the Spider-Verse* leak appears to be the original HD video, and with the cat already out of the bag, it seems pointless to try to pull it back. Yet, that’s the current strategy, as they work to remove uploads as they pop up. It’s a missed opportunity, considering this clip could only serve to boost interest in the film. Just release it officially, and embrace the buzz!
