Exciting New Age of Sigmar and Dawn of War 4 Revealed at Warhammer Skulls Event

Warhammer Skulls has just wrapped up its 10th edition, showcasing a wealth of exciting content for fans of the Warhammer universe, whether you’re into genetically enhanced warriors in power armor or the sneaky ratmen lurking in the shadows.

The event featured two major premieres. First up is *Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster*, a 2D action-platformer that allows players to step into the shoes of a Skaven for the first time. Developed by Old Skull Games, this story-driven adventure emphasizes stealth as players navigate the world as the cunning Vihneek, aiming to climb the ranks of clan Eshin.

Set in the Mortal Realms of the Age of Sigmar, it’s refreshing to see the fantasy aspect of Warhammer getting some attention, though the grimdark future of the 40,000 universe still takes center stage with more announcements on the horizon.

The second premiere was *Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch*, the sequel to 2022’s *Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters*. In this game, players will command an elite Deathwatch Kill Team, backed by agents of the Inquisition and Astra Militarum, as newly sanctioned Inquisitors. If battling Xenos and pushing back the forces of Chaos is your calling, this title is tailor-made for you.

The latest installment in the beloved Dawn of War series, *Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4*, has a release date set for September 17, with pre-orders now available for both the standard and Commander editions. The Commander edition includes all Year One content and the official digital soundtrack. After launch, players can expect a year of free content updates and paid DLC, featuring the return of Crusade Mode, new game modes, map packs, and a mission editor. Paid expansions will include two campaign additions: the Blood Ravens Story Prologue and the Aftermath Campaign Expansion.

*Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2* has also launched today on PC and console. Additionally, a new DLC for *Warhammer 40,000: Darktide* is set to drop on June 23, introducing a new playable class, the Skitarii. A Deluxe Edition with extra Skitarii gear will be available at launch.

Auroch Digital has announced two demos for their upcoming titles: the retro first-person shooter *Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2* and the roguelite *Warhammer Survivors*, which is inspired by *Vampire Survivors* and will also be available on mobile platforms. Android and iOS users can look forward to *Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom*, developed by Nitro Games in collaboration with Auroch Digital, launching in 2026.

And what about *Total War: Warhammer 40,000*, the highly anticipated title that garnered over a million wishlists on Steam? Fear not, loyal servant of the Emperor! A teaser trailer featuring the legendary Commander Yarrick confirmed that the game will unfold on Armageddon, a battleground at the edge of the Imperium, engulfed in relentless conflict.

In terms of crossovers, a collaboration with PlayStation and Arrowhead Game Studios’ *Helldivers 2* is on the way later this year, alongside a console partnership with Rust, allowing PlayStation and Xbox players to don cosmetics inspired by the Death Korps of Krieg.

If your gaming chair isn’t fit for the glory of the Emperor, SecretLab has you covered with preorders for the Titan Evo Warhammer 40,000 Dark Angels Edition. Who knows, sitting like a Primarch might just sharpen your tactical prowess!

Further announcements from Warhammer Skulls 2026 include a new trailer for *Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy*, a free update for *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2*, the Bhashiva Character Pack for *Total War: Warhammer 3*, the third DLC for *Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader*, and the Warhammer Classics Steam collection, which will restore over 20 beloved Warhammer games.
