Exciting New Pokémon Merchandise Takes Inspiration from Outer Space

We’ve always imagined a Pokémon game set in space, where our favorite characters don space suits. While that vision hasn’t come to life yet, the Pokémon Company is taking a step in that direction with some out-of-this-world merchandise.

In honor of World Space Week, which runs from October 4 to October 10, the Pokémon Company has partnered with the European Space Agency (ESA) to launch a collection that aims to “inspire the next generation of explorers.” This exclusive lineup is now available for fans to grab.

The collaboration features a variety of items, including unique space-themed products, with some exclusive to the Pokémon Center’s US site.

When we say this new merchandise is incredibly cute, we mean it. The star of the show is none other than Pikachu, showcased in two adorable plushies dressed as astronauts. The male plush is a striking white, while the female variant sports a vibrant dark blue.

The collection also boasts pins and patches depicting Pikachu in its space suit, alongside other cosmic Pokémon like Lunatone, Minior, and Cosmog — all of which would fit right in among the stars.

For those who prefer to wear their fandom, there are plenty of stylish options. Check out the ESA dark-blue bomber jacket, which pairs perfectly with the light-blue T-shirt featuring Pikachu exploring the galaxy.

The only items fans will need to wait for are the decorative astronaut Pikachu figure and the 1,000-piece space Pikachu puzzle set. As of now, there’s no word on when these will be available, so keep an eye on the Pokémon Center shop for updates.

If you’re a fan of both space and Pokémon, this is your moment. The full collection is waiting for you at the Pokémon Center. Hurry there — or should we say float — to snag some amazing merchandise before it’s gone!
