Exciting News: Check Out the Adorable Chibi Figure of Expedition 33’s Esquie!

Esquie already resembles a plush toy, so it was only a matter of time before the beloved character from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was transformed into a collectible figure. The choice of a Nendoroid figure is spot on; this adorable Japanese style perfectly captures Esquie’s playful spirit and delightful roundness.

The Nendoroid Esquie is both poseable and customizable to a degree. You can officially add him to your expedition crew with his removable headband, or you can pair him with his best buddy, François. Just be cautious about keeping them together for too long; the charm of their friendship lies in Esquie’s amusing knack for “losing” his grumpy tortoise neighbor. The figure’s creator also mentions that Esquie comes with additional poseable parts.

Priced at $45.99, this figurine isn’t available just yet, but pre-orders are already open. Patience is key, though, as shipping is expected in spring 2027. Pre-orders will close in July 2026, so you’ll need to decide soon! Each pre-order includes a background sheet that can serve as a mini-stage for Esquie.

That is, unless you’ve already splurged on the $429 replica of Gustave’s arm that was revealed earlier this month. Considering Gustave’s character development in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, that purchase is definitely a more “Whoa!” investment.

However, nothing can truly replace the experience of diving into Sandfall Interactive’s heartfelt RPG. If that resonates with you, you might want to check out the one-year anniversary update for Expedition 33 that dropped in April. This update allows you to give your expedition crew fresh haircuts as they navigate the challenges of the free DLC, Verso’s Drafts. After all, how else will Maelle demand you to parry while shouting at you?

No matter what you choose, fans of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are in for a treat this year.

In a twist, a collector’s edition of Clair Obscur was seized by Iraqi customs, which suspected it might hold historical significance.
