Experience the Legacy: Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined Launches 3-Hour Demo with Progress Transfer to Full Game
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is embracing a beloved trend from modern Square Enix by offering a free demo that allows players to dive into the game’s opening and carry their progress into the full version.
The demo will be available starting January 7 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, Switch, and Steam. Players who save their demo data and continue their adventure in the full game will be rewarded with Maribel’s Day Off Dress, a stylish yellow outfit for one of the party members.
Alongside the demo announcement, a new opening movie for Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined was released, showcasing the fresh art style through a series of stunning CG cutscenes.
Some regions, including Australia and New Zealand, have already entered January 7, leading to a few full demo playthroughs appearing on YouTube. From what we’ve seen, players can expect to spend around three hours exploring the demo. While this is shorter than the impressive 10-hour demo for Dragon Quest 11 S, it still offers a substantial look at the game’s beginning, including a streamlined path to the first battle.
