Fans hail Pokemon Legends: Z-A update 2.0.1 as a game-changer, featuring significant quality-of-life enhancements and a solution to a major DLC issue.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A has just rolled out a new update that fans are hailing as “one of the greatest and most important so far,” thanks to a host of quality-of-life enhancements and bug fixes.

The 2.0.1 update is now live, bringing a variety of tweaks to both the main game and the Mega Dimension DLC. One of the standout features is the ability to purchase berries in bulk. According to the patch notes, players can now buy multiple berries at once from food stalls, with additional availability at Nouveau Café’s Truck No. 3 after starting the DLC story.

In a much-anticipated change, the maximum number of Mega Shards you can carry has been increased from 999 to 9,999. This is a significant improvement, especially considering how quickly players can hit the storage limit while trying to collect enough shards to buy all the Mega Stones.

For those diving into the DLC, a frustrating issue where “Pokemon may sometimes have faced a different direction from the intended target” when using moves in “certain pockets of hyperspace” has been resolved. This was particularly annoying when attempting to smash floating Poke Balls for rewards, as it often led to your Pokemon ignoring commands and missing their targets. With this fix, that should be a smoother experience.

Other bugs have also been addressed, including issues that caused the weather to get stuck on sunny, prevented shiny Pokemon from being correctly registered in the Mega Evolution Pokedex, and blocked players from completing the “Start Special Scanning!” side mission. Additionally, there were instances where unrelated scene images appeared during missions, but that should no longer be a problem.

Fans have taken to social media to express their excitement about the patch. One player exclaimed, “They just dropped the best goddamn update for this game! Sure, it would’ve been BETTER if these features were in the game from the START, but hey, better late than never!” Another chimed in, “The Pokemon Legends Z-A version 2.0.1 Update is probably one of the greatest and most important so far. I wish they had increased the mega shards from the very beginning. My hope is that they can do the same with the Gimmighoul coin in the future.”

One player noted, “Omg FINALLY! Buying berries in bulk was so obnoxious before.”

Additionally, the sixth ranked season for Legends: Z-A has been officially announced, running from January 29 to February 19, and will introduce the Swampertite Mega Stone for the first time in the RPG.

A former Pokemon world champion mentioned that this superpowered mole “has the potential to run the metagame” in the future, but only once it breaks free from Legends: Z-A and its ability constraints.
