Fast and Furious Franchise Expands with New Release on Peacock

The Fast & Furious franchise has been a staple in pop culture for so long that it’s hard to find an area it hasn’t touched. What began as a film centered on street racing has evolved into a massive universe that includes video games, toys, theme park attractions, and unexpected crossovers with titles like Fortnite and Rocket League. At this point, it might seem like there are no surprises left in the crossover department.

But think again.

The latest entry in the Fast & Furious saga is a wild mashup with Lego and How to Train Your Dragon. Yes, you read that right—Fast & Furious, Lego, and dragons are now intertwined in a single narrative.

Titled Lego Dreamzzz: How to Fast Train Your Furious Dragon, this animated special is now streaming on Peacock.

As the lengthy title implies, this isn’t your typical Fast & Furious escapade. The special merges characters and themes from Lego Dreamzzz, How to Train Your Dragon, and Fast & Furious into a story filled with dream realms, dragons, and high-speed cars.

In this adventure, the Lego Dreamzzz characters find themselves in a world where the Fast & Furious and How to Train Your Dragon universes collide. Hiccup and Toothless are swept up in the mayhem, while the Dreamzzz team must confront the Nightmare King, who has turned the dragons of Berk against them.

Of course, the only logical solution is to combine the dragons with the cars.

This special was crafted through a collaboration between Lego, Universal Products & Experiences, and the creative teams behind the respective franchises. With a runtime of about 40 minutes, it’s more of a quick animated romp than a full-fledged Fast & Furious film.

While it’s unclear who the target audience is, one thing is certain: it promises to be an unforgettable adventure.
