First Look: Ted Lasso Season 4 Returns This Summer with Jason Sudeikis on the Pitch
Two years after the conclusion of season 3, Apple TV has unveiled a sneak peek at Ted Lasso season 4, which is set to arrive on the platform shortly.
In the initial images, we see Jason Sudeikis reprising his role as Ted, now coaching a women’s football team alongside Tanya Reynolds from Sex Education. Another shot features Ted reuniting with Rebecca Welton, played by Hannah Waddingham, outside a private jet, hinting that the owner of AFC Richmond is still thriving.
A third image captures Ted enjoying classic British fare at a pub, served by Mae Green (Annette Badland), the owner of The Crown and Anchor in Richmond. Along with these first look images, Apple TV has confirmed that Ted Lasso season 4 will premiere in the summer of 2026.
Many believed the soccer series had wrapped up after its third season finale, episode 12 titled ‘So Long, Farewell,’ where Ted bid farewell and returned to the US following AFC Richmond’s last match. However, due to overwhelming fan interest, the show is making a comeback, placing Ted in a fresh and challenging scenario.
According to the synopsis, “The fourth season will see Ted return to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”
Joining Sudeikis, Waddingham, and Badland are returning stars Juno Temple, Jeremy Swift, Brendan Hunt, and Brett Goldstein.
