Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass to Include Fewer Iconic Characters Than Anticipated

Epic Games has been dropping hints about Fortnite Override, also known as Chapter 7 Season 4. One of the latest teasers has unveiled all eight skins that will be available when Fortnite Override launches on August 20. While a variety of video game characters are set to join the Fortnite skin lineup next season, it appears that not many will make it into the Battle Pass.

The upcoming Battle Pass was teased in a playful 8-bit trailer created by an animation studio from the Netherlands. The trailer features Jonesy traveling through various video game worlds to recruit fighters for a showdown against Geno. At the end, viewers are treated to a character selection screen showcasing classic Fortnite characters like Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader, Peely, and Raven, alongside the new skins debuting in Chapter 7 Season 4.

The Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass will include eight skins: Bastian, Grace Crowne, K1TTYW1NS, Wrixel, Mali, Phantom, Geno, and Sonic. The order in which they appear in the trailer likely reflects the order in which players will unlock them in-game. If this holds true, Sonic will be the final character available in the Battle Pass, requiring players to reach Level 100 to unlock him in Fortnite.

Bastian and K1TTYW1NS bear a striking resemblance to characters from Nintendo franchises, specifically Link from The Legend of Zelda and a racer from Mario Kart. Retro gaming is a significant theme this season, and Nintendo’s influence on the early gaming landscape is undeniable. Despite Fortnite’s nearly decade-long run, there has yet to be a collaboration that brings Nintendo’s beloved characters into the game. Fans remain hopeful that this could finally change in the upcoming season.

Lobby Hacks are a new feature coming to Fortnite, allowing players to enter codes in the lobby for advantages in their next match. These codes are typically linked to the video game franchises that will be highlighted next season. Recently, Nintendo of America shared a teaser for Fortnite Override on social media, which included its own Lobby Hack. This has sparked excitement among fans about a potential collaboration between Fortnite and Nintendo, although many suspect it’s just a tease for the new season.

While players have a good idea of what to expect from Chapter 7 Season 4, with many themes and collaborations already revealed, there’s still plenty left to discover. From collecting new Sprites to exploring fresh map locations and testing out new mechanics, the next season of Fortnite is shaping up to be a blast.
